I'm Back!

It's been quite a while since my last post, a result of the fact that I've been so busy. I spent most of the holiday break editing chapters for a book that seeks to understand young adult literature through the lenses of critical theory. I wrote a chapter for the book as well, one that examines Marjane Satrapi's graphic novel Persepolis from a deconstructionist persepective. I have also been working on a paper with a professor, one that we will be presenting at the upcoming AERA conference in April. While the chance to spend a few days in San Franscisco sounds appealing, my decision to join the project has led to quite a bit of additional work. When I wasn't editing chapters, I was transcribing interviews and compiling observation notes. I have since resumed taking classes and teaching, so my workload hasn't gotten any lighter. Still, I have been able to strike a healthy balance as of late, so I'm hoping to resume posting in the days to come!
